Hello! It's my pleasure to e-meet you.

My name is Sam Jackson and I am a queer, non-binary documentary and editorial photographer currently living and working in Toronto, Ontario.

I moved to Toronto in 2017 to pursue my Bachelor of Fine Arts at Toronto Metropolitan University after living in a suburb of Vancouver, British Columbia my whole life. Growing up near the water and around nature has nourished my love for natural light, warm, vibrant images, and unfiltered beauty, a style you will see reflected in my photography.

I strongly believe in authenticity and strive to meet my subjects where they are in order to create imagery that represents their true selves. Whether it's a personal branding shoot, lifestyle portraits, or documenting the landscape, my natural curiosity towards human connection drives me to understand the story of my subject before picking up my camera to capture the magic. My biggest joy with photography is working with women, non-binary and trans entrepreneurs as well as other folks from equity-seeking groups. I look forward to having the opportunity to photograph more incredible people.

I wear many hats, including working as a producer for photography, film, and TV productions as well as assisting other photographers. This diversity of experience within the media production realm helps me provide you with top-notch service and keeps me learning constantly!
